Dave Falcone

Dave Falcone is a freelance creative Strategist and Director who helps TV networks and other organizations hone their branding efforts, develop and execute marketing creative and expand video usage

He also has worked as a consultant with Team People, a leading nationwide managed services company in designing and implementing corporate in-house video, creative and advertising departments. 

 

Prior to his current roles, Dave was with the Travel Channel as the Vice President of Brand and Creative. During his time there he led the rebranding the network, launched defining series and brought innovation across the organization. As a member of the senior team, he helped guide the network to record growth in ratings and in ad sales.

Prior to Travel Channel, Dave was with Discovery Communications (DCI) helping them execute several major initiatives. These include launching the Military Channel and rebranding the Science Channel, Discovery Home and Discovery HD Theatre. He also helped to introduced America to the Discovery On-Demand VOD service.

From 2001 to 2004, Dave ran his own enterprise. In this consultant role, Dave provided strategic thinking and creative direction for cable television networks and broadcast design companies.

Dave honed his skills during a six year stint at DCI, helping The Learning Channel (TLC) increase from 30 million to over 80 million households. After three years with TLC, Dave was chosen to help lead the launch of Discovery Digital Network’s suite of six new channels. He was picked soon after to launch Discovery Health Media, and worked for the next two years to position DHM as a leader in online and television health-related entertainment and information.

Early in his career Dave was employed by WHYY, a PBS station in Philadelphia. While there, he led the Creative Services department and executed many national campaigns for PBS. His career began at WCAU, CBS in Philadelphia where he worked in sports, news and programming. 

Dave has been the recipient of multiple Promax/BDA awards, CTAM awards, Tellys, NY Festivals honors, and a national Emmy for broadcast design. An avid football fan, foodie, music and nature lover, he resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife, their two daughters and a dog named Stratton. He is a graduate of Kutztown University, with a B.S. degree in Electronic Media and a minor in Speech and Theatre.
